Marina R. James, President and CEO
Marina R. James, President and CEO of Economic Development Winnipeg Inc., directs all aspects of the organization's activities, provides leadership and strategic direction, collaborates with key stakeholders, and is a driving force behind making Winnipeg THE choice for business and tourism.
Marina holds a Master’s of Business Administration Degree from the University of Guelph and has an extensive background in executive management and marketing strategy. Her background also includes hotel operations, issues management and negotiations, customer service, tourism development, and real estate asset and financial management; all positioning her for long-term success in this role. Her creative vision and passion for marketing and promoting the city, along with her dedication to bringing together like-minded individuals, has led to significant momentum for the organization since she joined in 2010.
Greg Dandewich, Senior Vice President
Greg Dandewich has been with Economic Development Winnipeg Inc. for 19 years. His wealth of experience in economic development, both within urban and rural contexts, positions him well to provide leadership and strategic direction to the entire economic development team as Senior Vice President.
Greg excels at relationship building; facilitating strategic partnerships, coordinating industry and sector initiatives, and forging relationships between the public and private sectors. With a Master’s Degree in City Planning from the University of Manitoba and a Diploma in Economic Development from the University of Waterloo, his background, successful track record in economic development, and experience in this role make him an invaluable team member and resource for the community.
Chantal Sturk-Nadeau, Senior Vice President, Tourism
Chantal Sturk-Nadeau leads tourism development for Tourism Winnipeg, a division of Economic Development Winnipeg Inc. As Senior Vice President, Chantal leads the Tourism Winnipeg team, working to facilitate a healthy, prosperous, responsible and fully integrated tourism industry that supports the city’s economic growth and delivers the best possible visitor experience.
Chantal has been an integral member of the Tourism Winnipeg team for 13 years. In this time, she has put her experience and passion for the city to work by spearheading major projects and campaigns, driving sales and marketing efforts, acting as an effective industry liaison and advocate, and working collaboratively with key stakeholders. Chantal holds an Arts Degree from the University of Manitoba and an Advanced Diploma in International Business.
Kathryn Maycher, Vice President, Finance & Administration
Kathryn Maycher has been with Economic Development Winnipeg Inc. for over 10 years. Kathryn holds a Master’s of Business Administration degree, with majors in finance and human resources, along with a Bachelor of Commerce undergraduate degree, major in accounting, from the University of Manitoba and is currently completing her CGA designation. Her extensive education, along with her wealth of experience in both the public and private sectors, enables her to provide financial management oversight and direction to both internal and external stakeholders of Economic Development Winnipeg.
Kathryn’s responsibilities as Vice President, Finance & Administration, include the day-to-day financial management activities of the corporation.
