Economic Development Winnipeg formulates responsive, practical, and results-oriented initiatives in the areas of entrepreneurship and business development in various sectors. To acheieve these goals, the organization works to strengthen Winnipeg's economy by assisting existing businesses, attracting new businesses, researching business issues and making policy recommendations.
Economic Development Winnipeg also links directly with peer organizations, broad-based and sector-specific industry associations working closely with elected officials, and relevant departments of all levels of government. In addition, the organization engages regularly with post-secondary and technology institutions, legal, real estate and business service professionals, and others whose work affects economic development in the Winnipeg region.
