Canadian Emergency Response Benefit

Canadian Emergency Response Benefit

A taxable benefit of $2000/ month for up to 4 months. Available to those who are sick, or taking care of the sick, working parents minding children without pay, employed workers who are not being paid due to insufficient work, and self employed, contract, part-time, and seasonal workers who are not eligible for EI. Rules now allow individuals to earn up to $1000 a month and still be eligible.

Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy

Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy

Up to a 75% wage subsidy for employers who have lost at least 15% of their business in March, or 30% in April to August. Up to a 60% wage subsidy for employers who have experienced any revenue drop in September to November.

Defer Tax Payments

CRA to defer the payment of income taxes for businesses until August 31, 2020 (for amounts owing on or after March 18 and before Sept 2020).

The EPF will provide up to $5 million per recipient in non-repayable funding for emergency COVID-19 response activities and/or repayable funding for strategic investments
