Health and Post-Secondary Education Levy Tax Deferral

Returns for small and medium businesses with monthly HE Levy remittances of no more than $10,000/month normally due on April 15 May 15, June 15, July 15, August 17 and September 15 will now be due October 15, 2020.

Manitoba Back to Work Wage Subsidy Program

The ‘Manitoba Back to Work  Wage Subsidy Program’ is a hiring program to help Manitoba-based businesses rebound from the COVID-19 pandemic. The program covers 50 per cent of wage costs between July 16 and December 31, 2020. Employers can be supported to hire up to 20 employees.

Manitoba Bridge Grant

The Manitoba Bridge Grant provides a $5,000 grant to eligible Manitoba businesses and organizations that are required to fully close their premises to the public as a result of Manitoba COVID-19 Prevention Orders in effect as of November 12, 2020.

Manitoba Gap Protection Program (MGPP)

The province will advance each eligible small or medium-sized business a non-interest bearing forgivable MGPP loan of $6,000, for a total of up to $120 million. The application deadline is October 31, 2020

RST Tax Deferral

RST returns for small and medium businesses with monthly RST remittances of no more than $10,000/month normally due on April 20, May 20, June 22, July 20, August 20, and September 21 will now be due October 20, 2020. Quarterly filers have a deferral to October 20, 2020.

The province is making temporary amendments that would ensure any period of layoff occurring after March 1, 2020, will not be counted toward the period after which a temporary layoff would become a permanent termination.

Residential & Business Tax Deferral

Residential & Business Tax Deferral

The City of Winnipeg is waiving penalites for unpaid property & business taxes for up to three months following their due date. The City is also waiving the Tax Instalment Payment Plan (TIPP) program fees on both property and business taxes until November 30, 2020.
