RST Tax Deferral

RST Tax Deferral

RST returns for small and medium businesses with monthly RST remittances of no more than $10,000/month normally due on April 20, May 20 and June 22 will now be due July 20, 2020. Quarterly filers have a deferral to July 20, 2020.

The province is making temporary amendments that would ensure any period of layoff occurring after March 1, 2020, will not be counted toward the period after which a temporary layoff would become a permanent termination.

The Covid-19 Challenges Procurement Program: NRC IRAP and Innovative Solutions Can

This program will post challenges seeking near-to-market solutions from small and medium-sized businesses (fewer than 500 staff) that need financial support from the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP) to refine and sell their product or solution to meet a COVID-19 related need.

The Pandemic Response Challenge Program: NRC (R&D based)

This program will receive $15M to build teams to address challenges requiring further research and development for solutions to meet COVID-19 related needs. The NRC will build these teams drawing on internal-to-government capacity and academic researchers who register to indicate their interest, and related areas of expertise and capabilities
