Manitoba Gap Protection Program (MGPP)

The province will advance each eligible small or medium-sized business a non-interest bearing forgivable MGPP loan of $6,000, for a total of up to $120 million. The application deadline is October 31, 2020

Manitoba Protection Plan

Manitoba Protection Plan

A 6-month (to October 1) support program that includes no interest and/or penalties, collections or service disconnections from Manitoba Hydro, Centra Gas, Manitoba Public Insurance, Workers Compensation Board, Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries, and on provincial education taxes and school division fees.

RST Tax Deferral

RST Tax Deferral

RST returns for small and medium businesses with monthly RST remittances of no more than $10,000/month normally due on April 20, May 20, June 22, July 20, August 20, and September 21 will now be due October 20, 2020. Quarterly filers have a deferral to October 20, 2020.

The province is making temporary amendments that would ensure any period of layoff occurring after March 1, 2020, will not be counted toward the period after which a temporary layoff would become a permanent termination.
