From investing in its staff to introducing state-of-the-art robotics, Bee-Clean remains a leader in its industry. Now more than ever, companies are clamouring for its services.
“Cleaning has become much more visible, especially during the global pandemic. We’ve been in this business for more than 50 years with offices across Canada. Demand for our services is the biggest it has ever been,” says Joe Correia, President and Co-Founder of Winnipeg-based Bee-Clean.
The company is now investing in cutting-edge technology. “We first used robots in China, now we use them in Canada. We’re waiting to introduce a commercial robot vacuum. Bee-Clean would be one of the first janitorial companies in Canada to test and use this type of vacuum.”
Over the years, Bee-Clean has received accolades and awards for its high-quality cleaning services and its efforts to use sustainable and green cleaning products. In 2009, it was the first cleaning company in Canada to be given the International Sanitary Supply Association’s Cleaning Industry Management Standard Green Building certification.
Bee-Clean knows that for growth to continue it will also invest heavily in its employees. Right now, it has more than 14,000 employees who clean more than 400 million sq. ft. daily in over 5,000 buildings across Canada, China and the Azores Islands.
“The professional development of our employees is critical to our success. Our staff are the backbone of our business; they are our front line. The only way that we’ll remain competitive is ensuring that they are able to appropriately provide for their families and are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve. We’ll continue to invest in our people’s skills and new technology.”
