Tourism Winnipeg’s 30 Days of Gift Giving

WINNIPEG, MB – Tourism Winnipeg (TW) wants to show its love for local businesses by encouraging Winnipeggers to do all of their holiday shopping close to home this year. To spread some cheer of its own, TW will be giving away gift cards and gift boxes from more than 30 local Winnipeg businesses for the next 30 days.
Starting November 12 until December 23 from Mondays to Fridays, a daily shop local challenge post will go up on TW and Peg City Grub (PCG) social media channels. People are asked to share their own experiences and beautiful buys, as well as tagging their favourite local retailers and restaurants to win.
Every day a gift card giveaway from a local retailer or restaurant will be featured on a different social platform so follow all of them for details on how to win.
Daily prizes include gift cards to some of our city’s great restaurants, beloved garden centres, children’s stores, jewellery boutiques and local attractions. There are also four pre-packaged gift boxes from local retailers jam packed with sought-after made-in-Manitoba products that will be given away – TW is asking Winnipeggers to nominate someone who could use a pick-me-up during this challenging time.

A lot of our businesses have so many great gift-giving ideas and we thought it was a great time to share some of them through this gift giveaway. We hope this shop local challenge will encourage people to support our local business community as well spread some much-needed cheer to Winnipeggers and their loved ones,” says Dayna Spiring, CEO & President of Economic Development Winnipeg.
