At this year’s Investor Breakfast, investors, partners and business leaders joined us to reflect on the progress made in 2024 and look ahead to what’s needed to strengthen Winnipeg’s position in a changing economy.
The morning kicked off with a keynote from Amanda Macdonald, Vice President of Business Development & Market Intelligence at Economic Development Winnipeg, who shared highlights of our progress and key milestones from the past year. Her remarks set the stage for a dynamic panel focused on how Winnipeg can compete and win in a global environment. The panel featured:
• Brad Elias, Director of Air Service & Cargo at the Winnipeg Airports Authority
• Chris Reiter, Senior Development Manager at Focus Equities
• Katie Hall Hursh, Vice President at The Megill-Stephenson Company Limited
• Marty Maykut, President of Anvil Management and Price Industries
The panel was moderated by Alberto Velasco-Acosta, Vice President, International at Economic Development Winnipeg.
Together, they offered insight into how their organizations are adapting, where we can improve our competitiveness and what’s needed to drive long-term strength across sectors.
