How can I stay informed about all things #WPG Whiteout Street Parties presented by Tim Hortons?
We will be updating this website throughout the Street Parties with the most current information, so check back here for more details.
While the events are happening, we will be sharing any important information on our Twitter account (@EDWinnipeg).
Where can I purchase tickets for the Street Parties?
Tickets are available at winnipegjets.com/tickets. TICKETS TO THE APRIL 18 STREET PARTY ARE SOLD OUT. Tickets are limited to four (4) per account. The best way of being assured a spot at the Street Party is to purchase tickets in advance.
Children aged five and under do not need a ticket to enter the Street Parties. As well, 500 tickets from each game will be distributed by United Way Winnipeg to those who could not otherwise afford them.
If I have a ticket to the game, can I still get into the Street Parties?
Yes. If you have a ticket to watch the game in Bell MTS Place, a ticket to access the Street Party will be automatically loaded into your account on gameday. It is recommended that both your game and Street Party ticket are loaded to your phone’s wallet prior to arriving at the event.
Patrons who purchase tickets through SeatExchange closer to game time may not see their Street Party ticket load. The Bell MTS Place Box Office at Portage & Donald is prepared to help anyone who has questions about their account.
Do I need a ticket to enter the Family Zone presented by FreshCo.?
Yes. The primary entrance to the Family Zone is at St. Mary Avenue near Smith Street; however, the Family Zone is also accessible via the Smith Street sidewalk from within the main street party footprint. If the size and capacity of the Street Parties increase, an additional entrance/exit for the Family Zone will be via Donald and Smith.
Children aged five and under do not need a ticket to enter the Street Parties.
Is True North Square part of the Street Parties?
Due to its ongoing construction, True North Square will not be part of the footprint of the Street Parties, nor host any formal programming in 2019.
How much does it cost to enter?
Tickets are $5 each, with 100% of the proceeds (less GST) being administered through United Way of Winnipeg. These funds will be invested into our city. For more details, click here.
Where do I enter the Street Parties?
There are multiple entry points for the Street Parties. Entryways are at Graham near Hargrave, Donald near Graham and Smith near Portage. Note that there will be a dedicated exit-only area at Donald and Portage. The primary entrance/exit to the Family Zone is at St. Mary Road near Smith. The Family Zone is also accessible via the Smith Street sidewalk from within the main street party footprint. If the size of the Street Parties increases, an additional entrance/exit for the Family Zone will be via Donald and Smith.

Can I leave the Street Parties and come back in?
No. The Street Parties are a no re-entry venue. If you need to leave for any reason, you will not be allowed back in. Once game patrons have scanned their ticket into Bell MTS Place, they will only be allowed to re-enter the Street Party if capacity permits.
Will we be able to watch the game live at the Street Parties?
Yes! The Street Parties will have multiple screens to watch the game live, set up at strategic points throughout the premises. This includes a screen in the family zone at Millennium Library Park. You won’t miss a single second of the action.
Is there a maximum capacity for the Street Parties?
There is – the capacity will be adjusted based on the number of ticket sales per event. Starting capacity is approximately 15,000 fans, plus an additional 4,000 in the Family Zone at Millennium Library Park. On a game-by-game basis, we have the ability 48 hours in advance to accommodate additional fans.
Are there washrooms available onsite?
Yes, there are portable washrooms and hand wash stations located throughout the site.
Can I bring a lawn chair?
Yes! Bring your own chairs if you want to sit and be sure to arrive early to secure your spot up front. There will also be lots of standing room.
Can I bring my backpack to the Street Parties?
For security purposes there is a size restriction for all bags entering the Street Parties. Bags, backpacks and purses that exceed 14”x14”x6” will not be allowed to enter the Street Party. A $3 bag check will be available at the Bike Valet area (Cityplace loading dock), at the corner of Donald and St. Mary. All bags will be subject to a search.
Can I bring my own food or drinks into the Street Parties?
You are welcome to pack a single-serve snack (like a granola bar for the kids), but outside drinks will not be permitted. There will be plenty of great food trucks and beverage options on site.
Will I be allowed to smoke?
There will be a designated smoking area on site within the Street Party area. All other areas of the Street Party are non-smoking areas, including e-cigarettes.
Is there an ATM onsite?
Yes! Please note that vendors are cash-only, so either bring cash with you or find the on-site ATMs when you arrive.
Will food be available for purchase?
Yes. There will be some food trucks at the Street Parties so you can grab a bite before and during the game.
Will alcoholic beverages be available for purchase?
Yes - but the Family Zone is an alcohol-free area.
Are there items not permitted at the Street Parties?
Yes - flag poles, hockey sticks, or anything that could be used as a weapon will not be permitted in the Street Party. Mobility devices will be permitted. Signs with offensive or derogatory messages will not be allowed - if you're not sure, just ask.
No outside alcohol or drugs of any kind will be tolerated at the Street Party. Smoking, including e-cigarettes, will only be permitted within the designated smoking area.
Please be sure to check the size of your bag before heading to the Street Parties – fans with purses or bags that exceed 14”x14”x6” will not be allowed to enter the Street Party. Are pets allowed?
We ask that you keep your furry friend at home (guidance animals are permitted on-site).
Will there be an accessible drop-off point if I have mobility impairments?
Yes. A drop-off point for accessible parking will be available in the loading zone in front of the Radisson Hotel (288 Portage Avenue) during the Street Party. There will be clearly marked signage during these times.
Will there be security onsite?
Yes. We want this to be a safe space, and are working with the Winnipeg Police Service, True North Sports & Entertainment, and the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ to make sure the Street Parties are safe for everyone to celebrate.
Where can I park my bike?
Bicycle Valet Winnipeg will be operating in the cityplace loading dock, at the northwest corner of St. Mary and Donald. Check out their website for more information.
How will the party affect traffic downtown?
There will be some street and sidewalk closures, as well as Transit reroutes around Bell MTS Place. Details are available here. It's a good idea to allow extra time to get around downtown. Roads will be closed much earlier for weekend afternoon games.

Can I access the Street Party site before and after the actual event?
To ensure everyone’s safety, the streets and sidewalks within the Street Party zone will be closed to the public while the Street Parties are being set up and torn down. Where can I learn more about where the ticket fees are going?
United Way Winnipeg will direct the funds raised from ticket sales back into the community, ensuring that 100% of all ticket sales (less GST) will have a positive impact for Winnipeggers. Click here to learn more.
How can I give back even more?
Winnipeg Harvest bins will be onsite during all Street Party events - so bring a tin for the bin!
Will you be issuing charitable tax receipts for tickets?
No - individuals who buy a ticket to the Street Parties will not get a tax receipt. 100% of ticket proceeds will be given to United Way Winnipeg.
If a tax receipt is provided to Street Party organizers, any tax benefit received will be further donated to United Way Winnipeg. Street Party organizers are not looking to profit from these events.
Can I be part of the 50/50 draw going on inside BellMTS Place?
Yes! Fans have the opportunity to get in on the in-game 50/50 draw at the Street Party. 50/50 sellers will be roaming around the area – be sure to catch one for your chance to win!
Anything else I need to know?
Dress for the weather (whatever it might be that day). Of course, we encourage all fans to wear white for every game!
